Georg Friedrich Händel: from the Psalm "Dixit Dominus" HWV 232
(This digital realisation tries to represent this composition exclusivly with male voices as it was used for in the churchmusic in rome at 1707 for which the 21 year old Handel composed it. Perhaps due to the high demands for the performing singer, I at least do not know any complete recording at all, that respects this fact in realising the composition only with men and boychoirs as it should be expected for the churchmusic Handel composed for, but only very experienced professinal concertchoirs with femalvoices for the high ranges.)
Nr.1 (SAT soli, SSATB chorus) Dixit Dominus Domino meo, sede a dextris meis, donec ponam inimicos tuos scabellum pedum tuorum.
(The Lord said unto my Lord:Sit thou on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy foot-stool.)
Nr.2 (A solo) Virgam virtutis tuae emittet Dominus ex Sion: dominare in medio inimicorum tuorum.
(The Lord shall send the rod of thy power out of Sion: be thou ruler, even in the midst among thine enemies.)

(In the day of thy power shall the people offer thee free-will offerings with an holy worship.)

Nr.4 (SSATB chorus) Iuravit Dominus et non paenitebit eum.
(The Lord swore, and will not repent.)
Nr.5 (SSATB chorus) Tu es sacerdos in aeternum secundum ordinem Melchisedech.
(Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedech.)
Nr.6 (SSATB soli, SSATB chorus) Dominus a dextris tuis, confregit in die irae suae reges.
(The Lord upon thy right hand, shall wound even kings in the day of his wrath.)

(He shall judge the nations and fill the places with destruction,)
Nr.8 (SSATB chorus) Conquassabit capita in terra multorum.

Nr.10 (SSATB chorus) Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto: sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper, et in saecula saeculorum. Amen
(Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now; and ever shall be, by the centuries of the centuries. Amen.)
