Romances for Violin + Orch. G-Major op.40 (1801) + F-Major op.50 (1798)

Before Beethoven published his Violin concerto, he published two romances for violin and orchestra. Doing that he established for the first time the new genre 'violin romance', which was taken up again by later composers.
